I am an elementary trained international teacher with Master in International Education from University of Oulu, Finland. I have been teaching in fantastic international schools (UNIS Hanoi, UNIS New York, NIST International School, OIS and ISH) over the past 15 years and have developed a real passion for collaborative learning space design that enhances self directed and empowered learning. Alongside of my role as the Director of Professional Learning at NIST International School, I had the opportunity to be part of the two-member Design Team (thanks to Kate Grant for being the other!) that worked with local architects (from Beaumont Partnerships and Christiani & Nielsen) to bring NIST learning spaces to 21st century.
Currently (2017) I am studying Interior Design at the International School of Colour and Design in Melbourne, Australia. I’m studying with the focus of Innovative Learning Spaces and School Design and using that lens to direct my learning. I am also working with several schools, helping them to redesign their learning spaces and building capacity for informed choices in learning spaces.
